About

Paesaggio Umano included two concerts, three workshops, and the creation of a song and dance piece. Dar Jacir organized the workshops at Rowwad in Aida Camp, the Aida Youth Group in Aida Camp, and at Dar Jacir which culminated in a performance.

On September 16 and 18, Dar Jacir presented performances of Tammorra Solo, Luca Rossi featuring Andrea De Siena and Laura Esposito.

Tammorra Solo is a journey into the traditional music of southern Italy, which has its origins in the life of rural culture. Luca Rossi brings together rhythms, songs, the world of sounds from festivals and rituals of daily life in Southern Italy, earthly devotion and the power of ancient songs from long and archaic traditions of tarantella and tammurriata. The dances of Andrea De Siena and Laura Esposito complete the repertoire through movements that hold together the ancient and the contemporary.

This project was organized in cooperation with the Consulate General of Italy in Jerusalem, and with special thanks  to: Lama Altakruri, Alrowwad Cultural and Arts Society , Aida Youth Center, and Citadel Restaurant and Coffee.
