Payao

Payao is a fishing system which allows for a low impact, high efficiency fishing, aiding in food sovereignty in the Choco region. Together with the ASPAC (Association of Artisanal Fishermen Cachalote of Panguí) and communications collective ENPUJA, we will summon fisherman from the Gulf to socialize results from their research in order to reduce the environmental impact and increase the efficiency of fishing through this technology. A sound piece by artist Leonel Vasquez will become part of the Payao as a way to regenerate the ecosystem where the Payao lives.
