The Distance of Death from My Hand to My Mouth is a culmination of Shaima Hamad’s research in ritual food recipes and an on-site performance during her residency at Dar Yusuf Nasri Jacir for Art and Research in Bethlehem, Palestine. The publication was included in Common Ground, an International Festival on the Politics of Land and Food (2022), curated by Emily Jacir.
